The King's Taster by Kenneth Oppel

Max  is  the  king's  taster. Max  is   a  dog. There   is   a new   king.  He   does  not  like  the  food  that  the  cook  makes!

Max  and  the  cook  go  to  other  countries  to  find new  recipes.

The  cook   and  his  dog  go  to  Italy. The  cook  and  his  dog  next  go  to  Mexico. The  king  said  the  cook's  head  should  be  cut  off!                      
Max  couldn't sleep. He saw a shadow walk out of the kitchen. There were crumbs on the floor and Max followed the crumbs.  Max looked in the key hole.  The cook looked through the key hole.  The cook said "You're a good dog, Max."

The cook opened the door and greeted the king.  The king decided to try the food that the cook made.

Max is not the king's taster.  He is still the cook's dog.  The End.

This is why someone should read this book: Because the king learns a lesson for not eating food that is not healthy for you.  The kids learn that, too.

I like fairies. I like magic. rachel and kirsty help all the fairies on all their adventures. The pet fairies help take care of the Fairyland pets. I liked reading this book. You should read this book. They're always very       magical. Jack Frost sends the Fairyland pets far away.  His goblins catch the fish.  It seems like it always happens for real.
